The January 1999 issue of Dance Teacher Magazine features Buglisi and Foreman as Artistic Directors to watch...
"Buglisi and Foreman feel a deep sense of responsibility
toward their mentor, colleagues, and humankind: "Martha Graham said
to us, 'Miss Ruth [St. Denis]'s tongue is on me and mine is on you.' We
are bound to work by that archetype. We develop work that stands for artists
who are already well known for their craft. Craft is important. You cannot
jump from class to art. We use technique, but craft is not just steps,
it is how a dancer's spirit is revealed and how they speak on a universal
level. This is also crucial in the education of young people, to give
them a voice, to spark their imagination. People of imagination and dreams
are needed in the future. The theater is a place to dream."
